Writing this on the go - I’m on the train to Gatwick. Girls’ trip to Mallorca - eclipse chasing and checking out coliving communities. My sister got a great deal at BedNDesk, a boutique coworking space in S’Arenal - just €350 for the week! In peak season AND eclipse week.
All the other coliving spaces I contacted had a month minimum stay, so I appreciate the flexibility and the owner, Steve is lovely. Irish. Super friendly and positive. Look forward to meeting him.

I asked for his help finding a place nearby as my sister said they have partner accommodation. He rang round but everything was booked out. No matter. I’ll pop in check out the coworking space - and stay for a month next time so I can get to know Mallorca better.
Am SO excited for the eclipse. Can’t wait to see Julieta’s face and everyone else’s on the beach around us - it will be packed. Mallorca’s not had a total eclipse for over 100 years, and it will last the longest here - around a minute and a half compared to a minute in Valencia.
I missed the last total eclipse in the UK (11 August 1999) as I was in Australia, so I’m not missing this one. Trip of a lifetime. Next one: 2090.
There’ll be a partial eclipse in the UK - around 90% coverage in London. But West is best - up to 95% in Cornwall. NASA is livestreaming it all on YouTube from 5.15 pm GMT.
Looks like Mallorca has FOUR rare astronomical phenomena to look forward to on Wednesday. Planetary alignment, the green flash, the eclipse, and the Perseid meteor shower. 🤗
It’s also a new moon, so time for change and new beginnings. Use the energy to bring in what you want to happen. I remember calling my mum from a phone box in Byron Bay in ‘99 and she told me they were getting divorced.
