Please excuse the mess. Still building dreams. ✨
Fancy a summer challenge?
My friend
is hosting The 100 Subs Quest throughout August for creatives who want to grow their newsletters.Quests are short challenges where we work towards a shared goal—in this case, to add 100 new readers to our email lists.
You get a mission you can do each week in two hours or less to get more subscribers. By the end of the month, you'll have tried four different methods to get subscribers and you’ll have grown your list!
You’ll get a special quest workbook, an invite to a private community and you can win prizes just for participating.
The Quest begins Tuesday August 6. Get your ticket here (This is my affiliate link and you’ll see me there!)
Why I’m doing this: Growing an email list is hard, and it's more fun and motivating to do it together in a Quest format where we can cheer each other on. Plus, I’ll learn some cool growth marketing tips to share :)
Know people who want to grow their newsletters? Tell ‘em about this Quest and earn $10 for every participant you send.

Olympic Summer 🥐🇫🇷
Que les jeux commencent! Creative and messy—a celebration of the arts and the city. More Eurovision than Olympics, though. We needed Graham Norton doing the commentary ;-)
⬆Upvotes: Eiffel Tower laser display. Steampunk horse. Austerlitz Bridge. Celine Dion. Flying cauldron. Gojira/French Revolution surrounded by headless Antoinettes and fire. METAL lives on. Nadal’s smiley face.
⬇Downvotes: The rain. No sun sparkling on the Seine, sadly, only soaked athletes and instruments. It needed a stadium for circle power. Loved the inclusivity but it was hard to film. Lady Gaga. The Last Supper in drag - just NO. No Chariots of Fire.
Good luck, Team GB!

Here’s my audio experiment with Wondercraft.ai, a text-to-speech tool that speaks in your voice.
Not quite there yet, a bit glitchy. I cloned my voice, but was American in one segment. I’ve fixed that, but it needs more emotion/pronunciation in parts. They’re putting me in another model that captures accents better. And topping up my credits as I’ve used ‘em all up messing about!
Love the musical overlay for the intro/outro. Very cool. I can see this will save me a ton of time turning my newsletter into a podcast - no filler words to fix with Descript. It also helps you edit your work as you can hear how it sounds.
