Nice piece, Nika! Love working in my notebook by hand.

Thanks lovely, he's inspired me to try a Sheaffer pen. Love a luxe pen but maybe not £19K's worth though ;) How you doing? Hope all ok.

19K!! Wow! I’m mid-rehearsals so quite busy and hot! Delighted to read your piece.

Good luck Tom. Good to be busy. Peter Murrell allegedly spent 19K on luxury pens... I won't be going that far.

We were OK in St Austell until yesterday (Wednesday). Being near Atlantic, we normally don't see temperature variations outside the range of 7-20C. Yesterday afternoon, car dashboard thermometer read 27C (the car is kept in carport, out of direct sun!), which is 5C higher than the previous maximum of 22C last year, the highest since we came here five years ago. No cloud cover, and no wind either (stationary high pressure system present). Hotter indoors than outside!

Still, mum was moaning about seven months of non-stop drizzle until a week ago, so can't complain now!

I love it Nige - enjoy! It lifts everyone's spirits and we're all smiling and chatting more. Street life. Love smelling the smoky BBQs when I'm walking along the seafront in the eve. One of the contractors working on our place has kitted out his van and sleeping on the seafront as cooler..

BTW - this panel was on as I was walking round Waterstones Trafalgar Sq this month. Books might be worth a look... https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/black-holes-electrons-and-the-universe-a-physics-panel-trafalgar-sq-tickets-1987391869581
