Treat it like a job
I can relate to what she says about dragging the laptop to the dinner table, in bed, and watching TV. It's not a great system. You never feel on top of things; work bleeds into leisure time, and it annoys the hell out of people as you’re not fully present.
I’ve also gotten into the bad habit of using two devices simultaneously. Mother: “Is that thing surgically attached to your arm?”
